Not including the personal cost burden paid by the insured person, adjustments are made to the cost of benefits paid under the medical system for persons in the earlier stages of old age for inequalities between the costs paid by different insurers, corresponding to the number of insured persons covered by each insurer.
These adjustments are made by comparing the percentage of individuals aged 65–74 covered by each insurer against the average for all insurers. Health insurance societies with low percentages of insured individuals aged 65–74 must cover contributions for persons in the earlier stage of old age. |
