Health examinations at other medical care institutions (Apply for the subsidy) (Insured persons)

Since December 2, 2024, health insurance eligibility is verified using one of the following:

  • ①Health insurance card
  • ②Eligibility Verification Certificate
  • ③Eligibility information screen on Mynaportal
  • ④Myna health insurance card and Notice of Eligibility Information
  • ⑤Online verification of eligibility using the Individual Number Card (only at facilities that have adopted the relevant system)

Procedures

Eligible persons

Those insured with the Health Insurance Society
Eligible persons may undergo health examinations provided by the Society only once per fiscal year.
Those who plan to undergo or have already undergone the health examinations under ① - ③ below are not eligible. Those who undergo more than one health examination will be billed for the entire cost of all subsequent examinations.
①Examinations at the examination center on the second floor of Kenpokaikan
②Health examinations at other medical care institutions
③Complete medical checkups

Examination period

April 1 through March 31 of the following year

Examination items and subsidy amounts

(1) Health examinations

Examination items as stipulated in Article 44 of the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health or examination items conforming to the courses recommended by the Health Insurance Society.
However, hepatitis viral examination and colorectal cancer screening are not eligible.

  • ○Those aged 34 years and younger (not including those aged 30 years): Examination A (may also undergo Examination B)
    Paid in the amount of actual health examination costs per person minus 2,000 yen, not to exceed 3,000 yen.
  • ○Those aged 30 years and those aged 35 and older: Examination B
    Paid in the amount of actual health examination costs per person minus 4,000 yen, not to exceed 6,000 yen.
  • ○Those aged 40 years and older at the ages specified by the Health Insurance Society for Examination S (ages 40, 43, 45, 48, and 50, and at the same intervals after age 50): Examination S
    Paid in the amount of actual health examination costs per person minus 5,000 yen, not to exceed 10,000 yen (only when the examination included items corresponding to Examination S).

(2) Reexaminations, detailed examinations, and follow-up examinations

These are treated as insured medical consultations and treatment.
