Preparation and provision to subcontractors of anonymized information

The Act on the Protection of Personal Information requires the disclosure of items and method of providing information concerning individuals included in anonymized information (*1) prepared from personal information and provided to third parties.

To facilitate health activities, the Tokyo Securities Industry Health Insurance Society (“Society”) continually prepares anonymized information and provides it to a rezept analysis company via electronic communications, as outlined below.

Before provision, all such information is anonymized so that it cannot be used to identify individuals, pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

  • (*1) Anonymized information refers to information prepared by processing personal information so that it cannot be used by ordinary individuals to identify specific individuals and cannot be restored to its state before such processing.

Items of information concerning individuals included in anonymized information

  3. Date of obtaining eligibility
  4. Date of loss of eligibility
  5. Name of medical care institution (anonymized)
  6. Insured person/dependent status
  7. Category of treatment (medical/dental)
  8. Year and month of treatment
  9. Prefecture information
  10. Rezept information
  11. Date of health checkup (obtained as the month of health checkup)
  12. Health checkup results data
  13. Specific health checkup questionnaire items

Uploaded to a Web-based benchmarking system (*2) using password-protected electromagnetic media

The Society has long promoted health activities. It will continue to promote activities to maintain and improve member health based on data analysis and joint efforts with other agencies.
