Health examinations at the Kenpokaikan examination center (Insured persons)

Society insured persons

Health examinations provided as part of the Society’s health activities may be undergone only once per fiscal year (April 1 through March 31 of the following year).
Note that those who have undergone or plan to undergo the examination under ① - ③ below are not eligible. If you undergo the examination more than once, you will be billed later for the full cost of any subsequent examination.

Examination period

May through March of the following year

Reception hours: Starting at 9:20 – 11:45 am (mornings only)

Examination items

Examination items for each course are as given in the list of health examination items.
Use the age that the examinee will reach during the relevant fiscal year as the health examination age.

Examination A
Recommended ages: 34 and under (excluding 30)

Examination B
Recommended ages: 30, 35 and over
(Those who are 35 years or 40 years and older may not change the examination items.)

Examination S
Specified milestone ages: 40, 43, 45, 48, and 50 and at the same intervals after 50

  • * Those who are at the recommended ages for Examination A and at the specified milestone ages for Examination S may choose to undergo Examination B.
  • * Examinees who have undergone Examination B or Examination S and who wish to do so will be provided an explanation of their results at a later date.
  • * The contents of the examinations for dependents are the same as for Examination B for insured persons.
  • * Colorectal cancer screening
    Those aged 35 and older must bring the sample container for colorectal cancer screening (fecal occult blood test) on the day of the health examination. If you fail to submit your sample, your colorectal cancer screening for the fiscal year will be incomplete.
    In addition, note that you cannot switch to screening by mail.

Examination costs

The Society will bill the establishment for the monthly aggregated copayment of each course.
Examination A: 2,000 yen
Examination B: 4,000 yen
Examination S: 5,000 yen
* No charge for Voluntarily and Continuously Insured Persons.

Reexaminations, detailed examinations

Reexaminations are provided free of charge in principle. (Some tests are covered by health insurance.)
However, reexaminations and detailed examinations received at external medical care institutions are covered by health insurance.
