Examination at other medical care institutions

You can apply for subsidy reimbursement after the examination.

Eligible persons

Dependents aged 35 and older
However, since stomach examinations are provided only once during the fiscal year (April 1–March 31), those who have already undergone a stomach examination or complete medical checkup as part of the Health Insurance Society’s health management activities are not eligible.

Examination period

April 1 through March 31 of the following year

Examination items

X-ray (using barium) or endoscopy (gastric camera)

Examination costs

Pay all examination costs to the medical care institution on the date of the examination.
You can apply for subsidy reimbursement (up to 7,000 yen) at a later date.

  • * Reexaminations, detailed examinations, and follow-up examinations are treated as insured medical consultations and treatment.
