Upper digestive tract (stomach) examination at the Kenpokaikan examination center and at nearby facilities (Insured persons)

Since December 2, 2025, health insurance eligibility is verified using one of the following:

  • ①My Number Card as your Health Insurance Certificate
  • ②Eligibility Verification Certificate
  • ③My Number Card and Eligibility information screen on Mynaportal
  • ④My Number Card and Notice of Eligibility Information

Each establishment should apply together for all employees who wish to get the examination.

Eligible persons

Insured persons aged 35 and older
The upper digestive tract (stomach) examination provided as part of the Society’s health activities may be undergone only once during the same fiscal year (April 1 through March 31 of the following year).
Note that those who have undergone or plan to undergo the examination under ① - ③ below are not eligible. If you undergo the examination more than once, you will be billed later for the full cost of any subsequent examination.

  • ①Upper digestive tract (stomach) examination at contracted medical care institutions
  • ②Upper digestive tract (stomach) examination at other medical care institutions
  • ③Complete medical checkup
    * If you have previously been advised to undergo a “follow-up observation” based on a past stomach examination, we recommend that you undergo the examination.

Examination period

May 1 through March 31 of the following year

Reexaminations, detailed examinations

Reexaminations and detailed examinations such as endoscopy

Cost

2,000 yen: Billed to the establishment for the monthly aggregated copayment for the examination

Reexaminations, detailed examinations, and follow-up examinations are free of charge (the cost is paid by the Society).
However, reexaminations and detailed examinations received at external medical care institutions are covered by health insurance.
