Procedures

Eligible persons

Insured persons aged 35 and older
The upper digestive tract (stomach) examination provided as part of the Society’s health activities may be undergone only once during the same fiscal year (April 1 through March 31 of the following year).
Note that those who have undergone or plan to undergo the examination under ① - ③ below are not eligible. If you undergo the examination more than once, you will be billed later for the full cost of any subsequent examination.

  • ①Upper digestive tract (stomach) examination at contracted medical care institutions
  • ②Upper digestive tract (stomach) examination at other medical care institutions
  • ③Complete medical checkup

Examination period

April 1 through March 31 of the following year

Examination items and subsidy amounts

(1) Upper digestive tract (stomach) examination

X-ray (using barium) or endoscopy (gastric camera)
Paid in the amount of actual health examination costs, not to exceed 7,000 yen.
* Note that items covered by health insurance (with 30% or 20% copayment) are not eligible for the subsidy.

(2) Reexaminations, detailed examinations, and follow-up examinations

These are treated as insured medical consultations and treatment.
