There is a limit on the maximum amount of benefits that can
be provided under long-term care insurance, in accordance with
the degree to which the service recipient requires long-term
care. Since the service recipient is required to pay the entire
amount of any costs for services he or she uses exceeding this
maximum amount, care plans are prepared to ensure their costs
will fall under this maximum benefit amount.
