Tokyo Securities Industry Health Insurance Society
 

The Tokyo Securities Industry Health Insurance Society (“Society” hereinafter) and its member establishments jointly undertake health examination activities for insured persons (employees) and jointly use the data obtained from these health examinations. The Society notifies of the following pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information:


 

1.

Joint health examination activities with member establishments

 

The Society undertakes health examination activities jointly with member establishments because doing so is efficient and effective for the purpose of health management for insured persons (employees).

2.

Health examination data used jointly

 

@ Examination items from Examinations A, B, and S undertaken by the Society (including contracted facilities)
A Information on persons eligible for specific health guidance and activities to prevent worsening of lifestyle-related conditions based on health examination and other data

(At establishments that have concluded memoranda on the promotion of collaborative health activities)

3.

Scope of parties jointly using health examination data

 

Staff in charge of human resources and health management at examinees’ establishments and industrial physicians appointed by such establishments

 

Staff in the Health Management Section of the Society’s Health Activities Department and staff at directly managed clinics

4.

Purposes of use by parties jointly using health examination data

 

Health examination data are used to recommend examinations to prevent worsening of conditions based on Data Health Plans.
Establishments retain health examination data in the sections responsible and use this data to provide health consultations and health guidance in accordance with judgments by and instructions from industrial physicians.
In addition, establishments work to ensure the health and safety of workers in the workplace and to promote comfortable working environments, in accordance with the objectives of the Industrial Safety and Health Act. Establishments also work together with the Society to maintain and promote the health of workers in daily life both on and off the job.
The Society retains health examination data in its computer systems (or archives in the case of written documents) and uses them for health consultations and guidance by establishment industrial physicians and the Society’s physicians, public health nurses, and registered dietitians, as well as in health education. The Society also uses data on specific health checkup items in stratification and specific health guidance for those with and at risk of metabolic syndrome.
In partnership with the staff responsible at the establishments, the Society also works to maintain and promote the health of insured persons in accordance with the objectives of Article 150 of the Health Insurance Act.

6.

How health examination data is collected

 

Establishments collect health examination data in writing or as digital data from their chosen medical care institutions (including the Society’s examination center and contracted facilities).
The Society collects health examination data in writing or as digital data from its examination center and from contracted facilities and establishments.

7.

This notice is subject to revision as appropriate in accordance with the enactment, amendment, or abolition of laws or regulations or changing circumstances.
